These problems were originally designed for systems of 3 equations in Algebra 2, but could easily be modified for 2 equations and be used in Algebra 1 or 2!

This activity gets students out of the classroom to investigate proportionality and radical equations that involve accident reconstruction. I typically use this in my Algebra 2 class.

This activity allows students to see conditional probability in action. I love using this in my Stats classes.

This is actually a performance assessment that I give to my Algebra 2 students that blends their love of caffeine with their love of money.

This is actually my entire lesson which starts with “Jigsaw Groups”. It has a low entry point, but a high ceiling. Groups are given different real-life piecewise defined scenarios to explore before we do anything formal.
